Description


A Personal Support Specialist (PSS) provides essential care and support to individuals who may have difficulty managing daily activities due to age, illness, or disability. They assist with personal hygiene, medication reminders, meal preparation, and companionship. PSS professionals are crucial in enhancing the quality of life for their clients, enabling them to live as independently as possible while ensuring their safety and well-being. Training for a PSS role typically includes understanding human anatomy, basic caregiving skills, and communication techniques, as well as compassion and empathy in providing care.
